![]() ![]() Enjoy!Wonder if this’ll work as intended with the B9 S5 as well. Now you will be able have dual Nav maps active when using corded or wireless CarPlay or Android Auto. MIB Tool pg3.jpg MIB Tool pg2.jpg MIB Tool pg1.jpg The best I can do is supply the compatibility list.there's a couple more patches you can try for the B9 SQ5/Q5 if for some reason the MU1316 doesn't work for your vehicle. Lol.Īll the various info is in the GITHUB if you navigate it. ![]() At the end of the day.you're welcome try whatever patch you want but if you brick your 's kinda on you as there's a reason Audi doesn't want us regular peeps poking around in the Engineering menus or long coding OBDEleven stuff. I think you can contact the MIB developers if you want more specifics. You're asking the wrong guy if you want someone to break down the in's and out's of the patch coding. Patches are specific to the various Audi, VW, Bentley, Porsche, Skoda, SEAT virtual cockpit designs and regions. Software is only designed to install one patch at a time. Traded in my B9.5 SQ5 down in Cali for a Taycan Turbo S awhile back so only remembered to post about this as I only recently returned to Canada and started driving my old B9 SQ5 again - which I kept up there as a winter beater for film work - so it jogged my memory that this might be of interest for a select few. They must have updated the patches as I've had a variant of the coding installed on my vehicle for over a year now which I haven't driven in over 8 mths. Let me know which (if any) are the correct one. Extract and place MHI2Q_US_AUG22_P5145_MU1316_PATCH file in the "PATCHES" folder on your SD card. menu and got to Navigation menu and enable the Navignore feature and you will be done. As far as I know, you need to have something called 'Audi Connect' as well as MMI Navigation Plus. Once regular MMI is back up and running enter the GREEN engineering menu as outlined aboveġ2. MMI should reboot several times during this install and you may get an SOS feature error which goes away laterġ1. Navigate to SD card menu and initiate the update from the SD Card. Enter RED Engineering screen by holding UP on Nav/Map button and DOWN on Media button simultaneously for about 15secsġ0. Power vehicle on but don't start engineĩ. Extract and place MHI2Q_US_AUG22_P5087_MU1316_PATCH file in the "PATCHES" folder on your SD card.Ĩ. Download the upper most file from here: Ħ. Audi introduced Google Earth Replacement in the face of Here Sattelite. Extract it and place all the files into root folder of your newly formatted SD cardĥ. Such content can also appear in the Audi virtual cockpit (in the Audi TT and Audi R8). Format a SD card to FAT32 and make sure SD Card isn't write protectedĤ. Activate Green Engineering Menu (GEM) via OBDeleven.or check to see if you have access to it by hold UP on MMI Nav/Map and Radio button simultaneously for about 15secs (Use same step to exit GEM)Ģ. ![]() Plus, audi nav integrates with virtual cockpit and heads up display, google does not. I have used Google maps in this car, and don't find the turn directions any better. Please note if these instructions scare you, make no sense or give you anxiety please proceed no further as you're likely to screw something up. Used audi nav the whole trip, and I was quite pleased. This what you can do to allow to use those apps on the main MMI screen while simultaneously still having Audi's map on the Virtual Cockpit. dials in the main with front panel next turn in the centre. This is for any B9 Audi SQ5/Q5 North American owners - with a little technical knowhow - who is annoyed by the compass that replaces the onboard Nav map in the virtual cockpit when using Nav apps (Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps, etc.). Keep the Arona one like the Ateca non digital cockpit one so interchangeable when driving. Think you got to click through the preset designs till you find one that looks more appealing. Thats the issue it's not showing the app screen in there, that's in the infotainment screen. I've seen images where on an Audi or something they effectively show the app screen on the digital cockpit. Never tried Waze Google maps in that since I know it can't be done. Like the blank infotainment screen on the standard system when you throw the built in navigation map to the digital cockpit. Think what you have there is the screen saying not possible choose another type of thing. If you can't it will be that the preset views don't allow you to put something else there other than a map telling you it's not available. The adjunct Waze Google systems don't populate the digital cockpit only designed to come up on the infotainment system. Mib2 design you put something there other than the built in navigation view / next turn.
